Be skeptical of conspiracy theories:
“Conspiracy theories have abounded throughout history. Some of the theories include aliens; lizard-people; the Illuminati; the Bermuda Triangle: AIDS; vaccines; and the deep state. Current conspiracy theories include the USA military took the coronavirus into China in October 2019; North Korea developed the coronavirus as a Christmas present for the USA; and the free press is the enemy of the people. Some conspiracy theories have led to violence, murders and even wars when they are acted on by people who lack critical thinking skills and are gullible and willfully ignorant. Be skeptical and don’t believe every con man’s spiel.”
Article on border policy:
“I read with disdain, the AP article about the SCOTUS decision to allow the Trump administration’s policy of requiring asylum-seekers on the southern border to remain in Mexico while their asylum request is being considered. The AP worded the article to lead one to believe the five conservatives on the court were the reason for the ruling. Even though they stated that Sonia Sotomayor was the lone (justice to publicly note a) dissenting (voice).”
“If you do not remove Leonard Pitts’ columns with his untrue, biased ... arguments, I will be unsubscribing to your paper. To him, every problem in this world is race-related. I feel the paper should distance itself from such one-sided viewpoints, especially when his opinions do not reflect that of your demographic.”
“I think Linda made my point. When they call in and say how many times Donald Trump lies, she said they really don’t know how many times he lied. So they are just going by what the Trump-hating news media says. ... When former President Obama said you can you can keep your insurance if you like; what about when Bill Clinton said ‘I never had sex with Ms. Lewinsky,’ were they not lies? The whole deal is the liberal news media hates Donald Trump.”
